Amtrak Northeast Corridor Croydon and Cornwells Heights Stations January 29 and 30 2009 |
|
The 72nd Annual New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce Walk to Washington started with a train ride. The train made stops at Newark, Metropark, New Brunswick, Trenton, Philadelphia PA and Wilmington DE on its way to an overnight stay in the nation's capital. A pair of AEM-7AC's pulled the thirteen Amfleet cars, the current ecomomic situation probably responsible for the smaller consist compared to previous years (stills of 2004, 2005, and 2008, videos on YouTube). |
Though downsized, it is still one of the larger trains on the corridor, with four cafe cars and 9 coaches, here putting out a little brake smoke as it enters the curve west of Croydon. |
The return trip the next day was right on time through Cornwells Heights. |
