CSX Trenton Line Philadelphia and Langhorne PA February 12 2008 |
|
The Philadelphia area hasn't seen much snow this winter, so getting shots with the fluffy white stuff has been tough. Tuesday February 12 saw significant flurries roll through the region as light engine move X090 passed CP Berry on the Trenton Line in Northeast Philadelphia. |
The snow continued to fall a little later as CSX SD80MAC 4596 pulls Q702 east. |
By afternoon the only snow to be found was on the ground as Q418 with CSX CW60AC 655 kicks up a storm as it picks up speed after pullling out of Woodbourne Yard. This time of year presents an interesting contrast between the cold of the snow below and the heat of the exhaust above. |
With Q418 having already taken care of the little snow on the ballast, a noticeably clearer shot of Q438 as it follows them east toward North Jersey with CSX ES44DC 5496 at the point. |
With the freights on Track 2, the SEPTA local train 362 bound for West Trenton runs the "wrong way" up Track 1 with a pair of Silverliner IV married pairs. |
Last but not least, CSX local C770 enters Woodbourne Yard with two ex-Conrail GP38-2's, one each in CSX Bright Future and Dark Future paint schemes, returning light after working BCIP just a mile to the west. |
