| The NEC can seem boring with its almost monotonous diet of electrics whizzing by, but putting two ordinary motors on the front end can make for a less than ordinary train. |
| July 30 2007 Regional Train 171 has AEM-7 932 and an HHP-8 pulling an octet of Amfleets. |

| Early morning sun on August 1 lights up Train 180 with AEM-7AC 919 leading a sister unit. |

| The next day the same pair are on the northbound Silver Meteor. |
 |
| August 10 and AEM-AC 920 and 924 are pulling the southbound Silver Star. |
 |
| Twenty minutes behind is Train 125 with AEM-7 906 and 953 |
