| Conrail H54 covered hopper CR 889668 with Conrail Quality logo. Conrail retained the PRR/PC classification of H for covered hoppers on the former equipment of those railroads, just as it retained the Lot Number classification for former NYC cars. The other railroads that made up Conrail were reflected in the second letter of the classification, such as CE for an Erie Lackawanna covered hopper or CR for a Reading covered hopper. |
