East Penn Railway Quakertown PA July 8 2006 |
EPRY 3153 broke down last Friday, so it was good that they had a backup engine waiting in the wings. East Penn acquired a few ex-Southern Pacific B23-7's to work on their various branch lines, and SP 5114 wound up in Quakertown. After some work including replacement of much of the glass, it is now pinch-hitting on the Quakertown to Telford exchange run with CSX. Dale Woodland was out Saturday in Quakertown capturing the new kid's first day at work. |
