SMS Penn-Jersey Rail Lines Penn Warner Industrial Park Morrisville PA November 9 2005 |
Most of SMS Penn-Jersey Rail Lines' tracks are in New Jersey, but they also operate in an industrial park near the Conrail Shared Assets Morrisville Yard. |
The power for the operation is SLRS 301, which was built as Baldwin S12 demonstrator #1200 before being sold to the Rock Island, becoming RI #758. Later it went on to work as Southwest Forrest Ind. #758, ASARCO #1 and Doe Run Co. #1, where it acquired the nickname "Old Blue" which, despite its Reading Company inspired paint scheme, it still wears today. |
Also on the property are a trio of cabooses: Reading NMk 92857 built in June of 1937 |
Pennsylvania Class N5C cabin car 478009 (aka Penn Central and Conrail 23809) |
and transfer caboose NYC/PC/CR and now Penn Jersey 18100. |
