Amtrak Northeast Corridor Eddington Station April 15 2005 |
Inspections the night before revealed cracks in the brake rotors on many of the Acela Express coaches, causing Amtrak to cancel all Acela service on Friday April 15 2005. Due to such short notice, no substitute service was provided for the morning rush, with Acela passengers advised to board the Metroliner, Regional, Clocker and Keystone service trains that continued to run. The Acelas are currently sidelined through Wednesday April 20 2005 with the possibility of trains being added as additional equipment becomes available. Here is some of what was running.....
