Amtrak Northeast Corridor Eddington Station Bensalem PA January 24 2005 |
The foot of snow that fell three weeks ago and screwed up our lives for a while is barely a memory, and so with the passage of time we can now look back fondly upon the winter white. Here Acela Express 2155 kicks up the snow as it speeds by. The yellow objects in the foreground are what is left of one of the anti-skid fiberglas sheets that Amtrak nails over the wooden platforms along the corridor. This one, however, has been shredded to pieces, most probably by the force of the bow wave of a passing train. |
