Amtrak Northeast Corridor Eddington Station January 4 2005 |
It is the dead of winter here in the Northeast, which means a lot of overcast, dreary and generally cold days ahead, so therefore the snowbird trains are busy. Amtrak 98 The Silver Meteor, nearing the final miles of its trip from Miami FL, looked ordinary enough ...... |
... until the tail end passed. Horizon cars have begun to show up on the Silver trains recently. |
Next up was Amtrak 20 The Crescent from New Orleans with a pair of AEM-7's running Track 1. |
The baggage car was wearing a Three Sheets logo and a nice little scrape below the door. |
With the demise of MHC's, there is no longer a need for a FRED on the end (see here). |
The Crescent was running Track 1 because CETC-7 had a few westbounds to run, requiring them to use Track 2 for the late running Amtrak 91 The Silver Star. |
