APTA's annual rail roadeo was held in Philadelphia this year at SEPTA's Overbrook Shops. Engineers would take a written test, then proceed outside to do some in-train testing, such as going ~40 mph and then trying to stop at a "platform" only 6 feet long with the doors and steps perfectly above them. |

A SEPTA BL15 shuttled passengers from the main building up to the interlocking where the tracks connect to SEPTA's R5 Thorndale line
Silverliner IV #305 was on display. It had been recently refurbished, with new ditch lights, new head lights, and LED marker lights.

There were also tours inside Overbrook Shops.
The East Penn Traction club had a small layout at the roadeo. Visitors were allowed to operate the trolleys. If one operated the trolley and electric switches correctly, they would receive a certificate.
