CSX Woodbourne Connecting Track and NS Morrisville Line February 24-25-26 2004 |
The initial run of Q191 was powered by two of the new SD70AC units, 4742 and 4741. Unfortunately nature greeted them with a snow squall as they approached CP Wood and started the climb up the connection February 24 2004 |
Nature was much more cooperative for the second run, as CSX 557 leads Q191 off the CSX Trenton Line, up the Wood Connecting Track to the NS Morrisville Line February 25 2004 |
As opposed to the first Q191, the second one had double stacks. |
CSX 7310, the trailing unit on the second Q191, leads CSX DF 557 and the late running inaugural run of the return Q190 on the NS Morrisville Line February 26 2004. |
Not having seen double stacks in a while, is it unusual to have a single well car double stacked and bracketed by empty flats like this? It reminds me of driving a VW Microbus on the Turnpike. |
