Amtrak Northeast Corridor, Eddington Freight Spur | ||||||||||
Conrail SAA local FJ-10 operates out of Frankford Junction in Philadelphia, servicing the Eddington Freight Spur and the I-95 Industrial Park south of Croydon. This run used to rate a caboose, due to long backup moves on the return trip. After sprucing up and painting a few former Conrail cabin cars, NS and CSX seem to have decided that shoving platforms are the future. Built from a former Conrail caboose, CSAO 001 is the only car that I have seen that actually has Conrail Shared Asset Operations reporting marks (others have been spotted with NYC and CSXT). Stan Feldman has some overhead shots here. |
