Work trains abound on Amtrak's North East Corridor

Whenever the TLM fouls a station platform, Amtrak sends a diesel to assist in "pulling apart" the train in order to allow passengers to board, and reconnect the train after the local departs. This slows work considerably, sometimes requiring a work stoppage of up to 30 minutes per hour. Here Amtrak GP38-2 723 does the duties at Croydon on September 29 2003.
Amtrak GP38-2 722 was used at Eddington on October 2 2003.
Amtrak GP38-2 720 was used at Cornwells Heights on October 8 2003.
