April 29 2003 - Less than one week after the K277 Derailment, which took out the catenary support and wire for the existing trailing crossover. In order to get R3 West Trenton commuter service restored quickly, SEPTA straight wired the catenary using temporary wooden and steel catenary supports. |
May 22 2003 -The first pieces of the new crossover have been installed. |
May 30 2003 - More rail for the crossover and I-beams for the catenary support. |
June 10 2003 - New catenary support is in place and switches are almost ready to be cut in. |
June 17 2003 - Crossover is in place awaiting catenary work before being put into service. |
