October 30 2009 Benefitting from relatively dry weather, the removal process continued. |
October 31 2009 Once they hit clean material about three feet down and the monitoring wells were in place, the process of filling the hole began. |
November 1 2009 With the first layers of ballast down, the original rails were dragged back into place and the original ties lined up on the runner. Once the necessary ties were dropped, they would be shifted over to the industrial track followed by the rail. |
