SEPTA Lansdale Station Lansdale PA July 13 2009 |
A Sperry Rail Car made its annual visit to Lansdale this month. Its usual resting spot on the layoff track is no more, so they parked it on the Bethlehem Industrial Track just north of the station, sandwiched between SEPTA and CSX. |
SRS 149 is no stranger to Lansdale, and wore a slightly different paint scheme in 2002. |
With high rail trucks doing much of the inspecting now, this could be the sunset for the Sperry cars. SRS 149, the newest built in 1986, may wind up being one of the last. |
