SEPTA Main Line Ambler Station Ambler PA January 3 2009

With the recent completion of the high level platforms at North Wales, the next station on the list is Ambler, which has an unusual setup.
The current Track 1 platform, used primarily for inbound trains, is just south of Butler Pike and can be reached from the parking lot on the east side only by crossing over the tracks.
It appears a temporary platform is being erected just to the south of the inbound platform.
Meanwhile, trains using Track 2, like this outbound Doylestown train, will continue to roll by the parking lot and inbound platform ...
and across Butler Pike to the platform near the old station on the north side of the street. Eventually the new outbound high level platform will be built on the south side opposite the new inbound platform.
