SEPTA Main Line Wyncote PA October 31 2008 |
Rich Pattison stepped out of his backyard to catch the unprecedented migration of rabid Phillies fans into the city, and the unusual trains that took them there. |
A week after the only push pull set on the Main Line north of Jenkintown was yanked off the Warminster Branch, a pair of push-pulls return. Extra 2302 ran up to Glenside to pick up some of the hoards that had descended on the station in hopes of getting a ride into town. |
Extra 2307 ran up to Pennlyn before turning, picking up Pennlyn, Ambler and Fort Washington passengers on the way down. |
Extra 2307 had the former NJT Comet I coaches that had only been put in service five days earlier on the R5 Paoli/Thorndale Line. Just in time one would have to say. |
