SEPTA Main Line and CSX Lansdale Yard Lansdale PA August 1 2008 |
In the grasslands of Lansdale Station, the wire train pauses next to the last two cars of Train 524, which will become Train 4253. |
The wire train makes its way south out of Lansdale, crossing Broad Street as its black exhaust trails away. |
Snaking its way through Dale Interlocking using the new switch ... |
to get to the out of service area on Track 2 so they can belatedly start their work. |
With the increasing price of oil, it looks like SEPTA and CSX have decided save money and forgo the regular weed spraying, or maybe it was a decision to "go green". |
Last year, the layoff track was removed, and already Mother Nature has reclaimed the land. |
