SEPTA Lansdale Station Lansdale PA August 13 2007 |
Commuters at SEPTA's Lansdale Station noticed something a little different this morning: several Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees were on hand, reportedly for on-site familiarization and training. No one thought much of it at the time, that is until the end of the day, when they returned to find the station entrances blocked by fire police ... |
and most of the station parking lot (and their cars) cordoned off. |
Lansdale and SEPTA transit police were in evidence in the upper parking lot. |
The dozens of arriving passengers asked for the simplest of explanations from many of the officials there, but were not given any information at all from anyone on hand. They were just told to sit in the hot sun and wait. In fact the only hint at what was happening came from being able to read the lettering on the van that arrived at 18:17. |
