SEPTA Main Line Lansdale PA February 16 2007 |
The initial posting by SEPTA regarding the future sale of the electric locomotives and the coaches was back in the fall of 2005 in the "Doing Business" section on their website. |
Sale of Bombardier Push-Pull Cars, AEM-7 Electric Locomotives and ALP-44 Electric Locomotive SEPTA is soliciting an Expression of Interest for the potential future sale of its Bombardier Push-Pull Cars (45), AEM-7 Electric Locomotives (7) and ALP-44 Electric Locomotive (1). If SEPTA elects to make this equiment for sale it is anticipated to do so in calendar years 2010 or 2011. Response Date: On or before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2005. |
From what I have heard, there were no takers. |
For the return run to Lansdale, they ran into the station on Track 2, the track usually used by Doylestown Branch trains, and were headed for the MU yard to park for lunch. |
Initially they shoved in on Yard Track 1, but it was just a little toooooo small. |
So they pulled back out and shoved onto the longer Yard Track 2, causing a bit of a traffic jam in town in the process. |
After lunch and an equipment check, it was time to get out of town. |
