CSX Lansdale Yard Lansdale PA January 11 2007 |
Once the New Hope and Ivyland Railroad stabled three General Electric C30-7's, but two of them have recently been sold to the Ohio Central Railroad. The former CSX 7064 is sitting in Lansdale Yard waiting for the next C746 out of town and on its way to its new home. |
Why is it that if you really want a shot of something you probably won't see again, the light is always a problem? Still, gotta get those shots that you can. |
I don't believe that 7064 ever wore any NHIR markings, but it has now been stenciled for its new owner OHCR. All CSX markings have been obliterated, but the CSX-applied United States flag still flies (albeit in the wrong orientation for a moving vehicle). |
According to the AEI tag, it has been OHCR 7064 for over three months. You can see 7064 in some of its former incarnations at the CSX Photo Archives. |
The spotty application of primer makes it look like the elements have taken a toll on the unit since I saw it last April, but at least the radiator cover is back on. I do recall that 7064 was used for a short time in revenue service on the New Hope and Ivyland. Hopefully it will get some TLC when it joins the former NHIR 531 in Ohio. |
