CSX Bethlehem Branch and Lansdale Yard Lansdale PA December 20 2006 |
CSX 2793, we hardly knew ye! After spending only two weeks in Lansdale, 2793 was shipped out on last night's C746 run, destination unknown. B738's power waits in the yard with a gleaming 2793 and a not-so-gleaming 6224. It is interesting to note that most former Conrail units that have been repainted lost their classification lights in the process, but 2793 came out of Huntingdon with them intact. |
Later that morning, 2793 was used to work the Soap, aka Crystal, at Eighth Street. |
After shoving the empties from the Soap onto the lease track, B738 returns light to the yard. |
During lunch, the B738 power basked in the sunlight on Track 4 ... |
alongside the C746 power, CSX SD40-2 8842 (with third rail plow) and 8825. |
