A northbound passing a southbound on the Bethlehem Branch? In Souderton?? IN 2006??? What it really comes down to is wishful thinking and photographic deception, a case of "seeing should not be believing". |

| as the other end, powered by CSX 6224, worked Moyer, which is only accessible from the former southbound main. They use what little is left of the southbound main there to store covered hoppers loaded with grain, seed and feed destined for Moyer. |

| Taken a few seconds after the first shot, this tells the full story. CSX 6224 will pull down and then couple up to the other end of the train before they continue to work the branch between Lansdale and Telford. The once busy mainline that ran freights from Philadelphia to Bethlehem is now relegated to secondary status with much of it reduced to single tracking, and some of the funkiest tracks you will ever see. At one point, north of Bergey Road, they have swung the northbound main over to the southbound main to avoid a washout, what we like to call the "spaghetti track". The good news is that four CSX gondolas loaded with ties have shown up in Lansdale Yard, and the MOW pieces that did the repairs on the wye are now parked on the Cold Storage siding, so looks like the branch will be getting a little much needed attention. |
