Railfan Pictures of the Day - 12/20/2006
SEPTA Doylestown Branch Hatfield PA December 15 2006 |
Rarely does the CSX daylight local B738 wander onto SEPTA rails, so it was a surprise to see them running light passing the old American Olean tile factory. |
Crossing over Walnut Street, slowing down for the switch into Lansdale Warehouse to the right, a SEPTA Railroad Operations truck waits at the gates. |
After picking up the cars there, they race back to Lansdale Yard ahead of the northbound MU. |
The window for a freight to operate on the Doylestown Branch is between :40 after the hour (when the inbound SEPTA train passes CP Land) and :15 after the hour (when the outbound train arrives at Lansdale Station), during which they must go from Lansdale Yard to the warehouse, do their work, and hustle back. |
They ran on Track 1 past the station before reversing into the yard. |
