Conrail Abrams and Lansdale Yards September 1998 |
Conrail GP15-1 1642 with the "Labor Management Project" nose decal. After the Conrail split, it became NS 1419, but in a coincidence was the power on CSX local C761 out of Manville Yard on the Trenton Line today. However, that is only temporary because come January 2007, it will be one of the 40 units that NS has sold off to new owners. |
Conrail GP15-1's CR 1638 in as-delivered paint and CR 1633 in "Operation Lifesaver" scheme. 1638 became NS 1417 and is also one of the 40, while 1633 went to CSX as CSX 1544. |
Conrail SW-1500 CR 9590 became NS 2234 after the split but worked for only a couple more years before being stored. |
Up in Lansdale Yard, Conrail GP38 CR 7875 and GP15-1 CR 1640. 7875 was originally claimed by both NS and CSX but wound up as CSX 1974 before its eventual retirement, while 1640 became NS 1418 and is one of the 40. |
