Amtrak Keystone Corridor Bryn Mawr and Devon PA October 13 2006

The Harrisburg NRHS Chapter hosted the "Flaming Foliage Express" Excursion from Harrisburg to Renovo today. In preparation for the trip, Juniata Terminal moved their equipment from Philadelphia to Harrisburg yesterday.

A little farther down the line, they are approaching Devon Station.
Amtrak has upgraded Tracks 2 and 3 for the high speed electrified service between Harrisburg and Philadelphia that is officially going to kick off the end of this month. They have also started to drop rail for the other two tracks in preparation for the tie laying machine's return, so we will soon lose the nostalgic "clickety clack" sound of the stick rail, and everything else that goes with it.
The train consisted of E8A 5809 and 5711 and passenger cars the Kitchi Gammi Club, Warrior Ridge, Little Juniata Rapids, and PRR 120, in its familiar spot, on the tail.
