Amtrak Northeast Corridor Torresdale Station Philadelphia PA July 23 2006 |
At its normal operating speed, photographing the Acela Express from a station platform is usually relegated to one or two approach shots and a couple going away shots. However, on Sunday afternoon, at least a pair of crawled by Torresdale Station for some unknown reason, and Steve Heelis was able to get each car as they passed at a mere 5 to 10 MPH. The first train looking south is pictured here. This train is looking north. Leading the second train, Set 20, was Power Unit 2026 (with AMTRAK logo and nose pinstripe). |
