CSX Bethlehem Branch EPRY Interchange Telford PA June 22 2006 |
CSX B738 out of Lansdale PA interchanges with East Penn Railway out of Quakertown about halfway between the two, at Telford PA. Usually the two jobs will not meet, but today Dale Woodland caught an early B738 pulling into the station at Telford. The EPRY crew had already cut off its cars on the siding to the north and are waiting on the main for B738 to pass. |
Having cut away from their cars at the station, CSX 6000 and 6114 have already pulled onto the siding and are coupled to the cars that EPRY just brought down, and while they are getting ready to go south, EPRY is backing EPRY 3153 to pick up the inbounds. |
EPRY 3153 was better known as Conrail 1933, the geometry train engine, and still wears much of its Conrail Quality paint, along with the CSX number it acquired after the split. |
EPRY 3153 coupled up and getting ready to head back to Quakertown. |
After EPRY 3153 and train pass, CSX B738 will head south to Lansdale where it will cut off the cars on the Bethlehem Running Track north of Eighth Street (to be picked up by C746 tonight on its run to South Philadelphia and back), park the engines in the yard and call it a day. |
