CSX Lansdale Yard Lansdale PA February 12 and 13 2006 |
The Blizzard of 2006 hit on a Saturday night, so by Sunday the CSX power that lays over in Lansdale Yard for the weekend had a nice coating of snow and ice. |
Since Friday night, C746 had been set up and ready to run the normal Sunday night transfer run from Lansdale to South Philadelphia and back, but the train was annulled due to the weather, so it was still there on a bright and sunny Monday morning. |
With no new cars to deliver, the day crew B738 pulled out CSX 4417 and 2723 so they could sweep some switches and possibly to do a little housekeeping around the yard. |
CSX 2723 started life as CR 8059, and never did work for the Lehigh Valley or Reading Lines, but an engineer can dream, can't he? |
After getting the signal from SEPTA at Dale, B738 takes the four axle power out for a little plow. |
