CSX Lansdale Yard Lansdale PA November 23 2005 |
An engine with an identity crisis. CSX 2750 is half of the local power in Lansdale PA, which consisted of a pair of Bright Future ex-Conrail GP38-2's, the other being CSX 2723, while the C746 transfer power was a pair of Dark Future ex-Conrail SD40-2's CSX 8855 and 8858. |
CSX 2750 had three interesting details. The first was a decal that lists the engine's ownership and/or leasing arrangement as a result of the Conrail split. |
The second was the CSXT locomotive emission control information plate. |
The third was a plate on the lead truck that identified it as being remanufactured by Norfolk Southern at the Juniata Locomotive Shop in Altoona in December of 2000. |
