Railfan Pictures of the Day - 09/05/2005

SEPTA Route 15 Philadelphia PA September 4 2005

While a group of diehard trolley fans were up for the first run at 12:30 AM, many others came out during the morning to catch the first runs in daylight. PCC II 2329 has just passed Girard Station on the Market-Frankford El heading east for Richmond Street at 8:39 AM.
While the trolleys were rolling, some last minute maintenance work continued. Here a wire truck is checking the loop at Richmond and Cumberland at 8:44 AM ......
and later that morning at 10:25 AM, a frog at the entrance to the Richmond Street Loop needed some attention.
Back to the scheduled runs ...... PCC II 2329 heads back west at 9:17 AM, passing the Cumberland Loop.
2329 heads up the ramp on Girard Avenue.
It was an hour between eastbound trolley runs. PCC II 2332 is pictured about to turn off Girard to head north on Richmond Street at 9:44 AM.
