While a group of diehard trolley fans were up for the first run at 12:30 AM, many others came out during the morning to catch the first runs in daylight. PCC II 2329 has just passed Girard Station on the Market-Frankford El heading east for Richmond Street at 8:39 AM. |
While the trolleys were rolling, some last minute maintenance work continued. Here a wire truck is checking the loop at Richmond and Cumberland at 8:44 AM ...... |
and later that morning at 10:25 AM, a frog at the entrance to the Richmond Street Loop needed some attention. |
Back to the scheduled runs ...... PCC II 2329 heads back west at 9:17 AM, passing the Cumberland Loop. |
2329 heads up the ramp on Girard Avenue. |
It was an hour between eastbound trolley runs. PCC II 2332 is pictured about to turn off Girard to head north on Richmond Street at 9:44 AM. |
