Mother Nature dumped about a foot of snow on the Philadelphia area last Saturday and Sunday. Fortunately it was the weekend so operations were pretty much business as usual. |
Doylestown-bound SEPTA local Train 2534 approaches Lansdale Station |
The "rush hour" was between 9:00 and 12:00 when a number of Eagle fans, clutching their tickets for the NFC Championship game, could be found waiting for trains into the city. Of course, that worked out pretty well too. Here they pile onto Train 2531, led by a snowy Silverliner IV 362. |
The CSX transfer power (this day, CSX 8593 and FURX 3011) and local power (CSX 6094 and CSX 6095) usually sits from Friday night to Sunday night, so the crews had a little sweeping and shoveling to look forward to before getting to the business of railroading. |
