CSX Trenton Line CP Fairless Junction Langhorne PA September 23 2004 |
The Selkirk-Camden trains Q417 and Q418 have been powered by some interesting foreign units lately. The power that arrived on Q417 this morning turned as Q418, making it the second day in a row a pair of brand new UP units have been on this train. Yesterday they were led by a BNSF unit, but today they were on their own. |
Leading Q418 was UP 5598. Here the train is stopping at the signal for CP Fairless Junction to let the conductor off so he can uncouple the train south of the signal. This will allow the power to run light up the main past CP Woodbourne, then reverse into the yard from the north end, couple up to the cars to be picked up on Track 6 and shove them back out the south end of the yard and against the train. They then pull the train through the yard up to the north lead out of Woodbourne and wait for SEPTA to give them railroad. |
Trailing unit was 5602. |
