Railfan Picture of the Day - 06/22/2004
Lansdale Yard Lansdale PA June 22 2004 |
One of the things railfans can be known to do is pay attention to detail, some almost to the extremes. A "civilian" looks and sees four engines that all look the same, a railfan looks and sees the sometimes minute variations that drive modelers crazy (or happy, take your pick). In Lansdale today we had four CSX engines, two for local and two for the nightly transfer run which is now from Lansdale to Philly and back (reverse of normal procedure due to overnight SEPTA maintenance work). Three GP38-2's and a GP40-2, the keen eye can spot many differences, even in a mundane area such as the end of the long hood. How many can you spot? |
