Railfan Pictures of the Day - 04/28/2004
NJT PJ&B Branch, Princeton Junction New Jersey |
The Colorado Railcar DMU will be testing on the PJ&B (Princeton Junction and Back) for the next few days. Today, while passengers of the "Dinky" were bussed between the Junction and Princeton, the DMU (coupled to Comet V 6051 to provide a cab on the rear) was checking out the scenery and getting a feel for the rails. Thursday and Friday, it will fill in on the revenue runs. With the branch only a few miles long, it will barely get to stretch its legs. |
|
The next day and a half the DMU was operated in revenue service, pictured here leaving Princeton Jct. |
The Dinky has just passed the grade crossing at Faculty Avenue in Princeton NJ. Not sure if they were having some kind of problems with the DMU activating the crossing circuits, but NJT had maintainers working on both grade crossings here and at the Princeton Jct parking lot. |
