1000 KW at 575 volts, 3 phase 60 Hz to provide emergency power to the mine.

First of several used 1000 HP road switchers that dieselized predecessor Sydney & Louisburg in 1960-61.

209 years later, a lot dirtier but still going, testament to the durability of the Alco 539 prime mover.
