Engineer
Engineer is Bennie McGee who held the McAdam-St Stephen run for a number
of years and was the
Engineer on the "Last' steam operated CP train in New Brunswick
when he did the McAdam-St Andrews
return freight with Fireman Doug Delaney on D10 # 986.
I think the 9008 made it's first assignment on the McAdam-St Stephen
runson or about April 29, 1957
after service was discontinued on April 27 between Chipman and Woodstock.
The 9008 made it's final run to St Stephen on August 16, 1958.
I remember a trip on 9008 with Bennie where he would shut her down as
we approached the St Stephen mile board and coast down hill to the station.
The car visible behind the 9008 would be the consist for the St Andrews
mixed train.
Once the 9008 departed a steam engine, possibly 2513 would back up fromthe
roundhouse to connect to it.
Great seeing these oldies,
