Built in Canada by Canadian Locomotive Company.
Equipped with Westinghouse traction motors.

16 A and 12 B units.

Following purchase of two demonstrator A units 4064 and 4065, orders were placed for
6 A and 6 B units. 4052-4057 CPA16-4 and 4449-4454 CPB16-4
6 A and 4 B units. 4076-4081 CFA16-4 and 4455-4458 CFB16-4
2 A and 2 B units. 4104-4105 CPA-16-4 and 4471-4472 CPB16-4 *
* Equipped with Westinghouse traction motors to match other CLC A & B units.

4054_4451 matched "covered wagons" in original block lettering.

10 B units were converted to Robot cars to control mid-train units.
