Cooee Classics Pty. Ltd. of Victoria, Australia sells product lines of diecast vehicles. To these they added, in about 2008, OO gauge, 1:76 scale static and powered models of W6 Class trams that once roamed Melbourne's streets. These were offered in five paint liveries. The OO models were followed in 2010 by a parallel diecast series of static W6 trams in 1:160 N scale, made in China for Cooee Concepts Pty. Ltd. Besides the normal N versions, Cooee also sold keychain versions with a cast loop lug on one end bumper. The carbody and roof castings lack sharp edge details and have solid-cast windows (painted either white or black) rather than window openings. The trolley poles are represented by cast ridges on the roof. To power these, one must grind out the floor from the basic body casting. They appear to be Australia's sole manufactured contribution to the global N tram and trolley world. - R. D. Kerr
