Bill had been bringing
parts and photos of his progress to show us where we both work. Up
until today, I had never seen the whole engine. Bill is an
extremely talented modeler and machinist. It shows in the final
product.
Bill was fretting about
the rust that had formed just this morning on the rear driver tire.
It seems that either steam or water gets on the tire in that
spot.
The cab, headlight and
pilot are hardwood.
Even the backhead is neatly
laid out and fully functional.
The Mogul is coal fired and the
fire burns very well indeed.
