1. The lead switch for California Door Co/ D & C off the SP Placerville Branch. Located on Missouri Flat Rd.
2. A few years later and the switch along with a few hundred feet of track has been removed.
Currently a pedestrian bridge is being constructed here over Missouri Flat Rd for the El Dorado Trail.

4. The D & C ran along the south side of the SP depot site. Some rail is still in evidence.
5. This field was once the site of the engine house and car shops along Missouri Flat Rd.

8. Industrial Drive was the site of the log dump. The pond would be on the left with the mill on the right.
9. What is left of the log pond. Most of it has been filled and developed.

1. Looking south across China Garden Rd, Missouri Station sits approximately where the planing mill and a large
lumber shed were located.

13. Looking eastward from the same location, there isn't much left to see until the line crosses Pleasant Valley Rd.

Tiger Lily to Bucks Bar
The climb from Big Cut Rd up to and through Tiger Lily has several features that show very well on Lidar including
re-alignments, several trestles, and many cuts and fills. Locations for images 21 and 22/23 are also marked.
22.-25. Approching the top of the climb near Oak Hill Rd, the line then crosses Pleasant Valley Rd. The two parallel each other
to about Scotch Pine Ln where the railroad descends south to Peace Trail eventually to cross Hunchup Creek on a large trestle.
26.-27. Looking back west at Hanks Exchange Rd. The line crosses and follows Abel Ln. From here it parallels Hunchup Creek to Bucks Bar Rd.

Bucks Bar to Cosumnes River Bridge
This series of USGS Lidar images follow the line as it descends from the Bucks Bar Rd grade crossing to the Cosumnes River bridge.
The first image is marked with photo locations of images 28 and 29 above. The third image is marked with the photo locations of the following two images.
4.-5. Shortly after crossing the Cosumnes River is the Happy Valley Rd Xing.
6.-7. Image six and seven both look westward. Six is a couple hundred feet into the interchange, while seven is the entrance.
8. Part of the fill crossing a seasonal creek on the lines' way to Caldor. This fill replaced an earlier trestle indicated in the next image.

1.-2. Coles Station was a small "yard" with a few tracks, a wye, and oil tanks. Many maps conflate this location with Rodwell because of their similarities.

Coles Station to Caldor
This image was taken near the location of Leoni Meadow along Caldor Road. View is towards Caldor.
Much of the line from here to Caldor was burnt over in the Caldor Fire of 2021
