Special Issue published by the City Administration of
Massawa on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Operation Fenkil.
From editorial:
The Operation Fenkil, which snatched away this port city from
the darkness of subjugation and heralded Eritrea's independence, is now
celebrating its 10th anniversary. In line with this, the efforts
made regarding Massawa to give it a fresh opportunity has been very successful.
And hence, Massawa has come out of its hiding with its new name of 'Pearl
of the Red Sea'.
I believe that Eric
Lafforgue's pictures are from that ceremony.
The booklet contained a short article
about the railway.
