Unit 001 was the first of the 38 stocks to enter service on the Island in 1990. Unfortunately it was relegated to a spare unit and all of its working parts were used to keep the other units on the road. It is seen outside of Ryde St Johns Road, now terribly defaced and rusted and presents a rather sad image.
