The Central Line has a version of 3 aspect signalling, the standard red and green but with an added white aspect which relates to when the trains are operated in ATO mode. The box on the top of the signal is the Centrals version of a Route Indicator; this displays an arrow rather than the more traditional illuminated white lights.
