Sunol,
Ca.
Privately owned former SP GP9 5623 pulls passenger trains for the first time in 20 years since being a regular on the San Francisco - San Jose commute run. Seen here at Brightside in Niles Canyon near Sunol, Ca on March 6th, 2005. This is one of the last places people in the Bay Area can witness wigwags in action. Since this is a tourist line, they are not in danger. As a matter of fact, they've only been there for about 15 years. More on Niles Canyon Railway wigwags... Photo by Dan Furtado |
