Niles Canyon Railway
(Pacific Locomotive Association)
The NCRY has three operational wigwags
on display.
Two are at the Brightside crossing, and the other is just west of Brightside.
The Niles Canyon Railway is located in Sunol, CA (between Pleasanton
and Fremont)
off Highway 84. They run trains every first and third Sunday of the
month.
Here we see the former U.S.Navy 65-00298 (G.E.40-tonner) making it's
way toward
Niles on an operating Sunday in 1996. This particular signal comes
from
the old ATSF backyard line in Emeryville.
