July 1997 NMRA National Convention
A side trip from Madison brought railfans to Stevens Point Wi. As part of the package they toured Don Kottke's Big Northern Railroad and had lunch at our clubhouse. Below are some photos of the Bancroft Depot with the railfans enjoying lunch.
As you can see real grilled burgers and brats! The depot sits in the 3 acre Heritage Park with the former GB&W mainline forming the northern boundary. This event occurred before GB&W's caboose was moved onto the site and the depot platform was completed.
