GE B23-7 Locomotives /
B23-7
CSX GE B23-7s were originally rostered by the Seaboard System, being purchased during the Family Lines era. Later additional units came from the Conrail acquisition.
GE B23-7R Locomotives /
B23-7R
Rebuilt from Western Pacific U23Bs, all four units on the CSX roster came from the conrail acquisition.
GE B30-7 Locomotives /
B30-7
5500-5516 were ex-Seaboard units while the remainder came from the C&O, acquired during the Chessie era. One B36-7 was downgraded to a B30-7 and renumbered 5581. Another oddball was 5501, which was renumbered 5807 to make room for ES44DC 5501.

The majority of B36-7 units came from the Seaboard System, being purchased new by them. Additional units came from the Conrail acquisition.
GE B40-8 Locomotives /
B40-8
Twenty B40-8s came from the Susquehanna. The remaining units came from Conrail. Only some came at the time of the Conrail split-up. CSX eventually acquired the Conrail units that NS received as well.
GE BQ23-7 Locomotives /
BQ23-7
A model unique to the Seaboard System. All were acquired during the Family Lines era, and only three ever received CSX paint. Most were converted to B units at the end of their careers, and had their windows plated over.
GE U18B Locomotives /

All of the U18Bs are ex Seaboard System, purchased by the SCL. At the end of their careers, nine were repainted into the orange "pumpkin" scheme, renumbered 9500-9508, and assigned to MofW duties.

Most U23Bs came from the Seaboard System. Chessie did have 30, all C&O, but even though slots were put in the CSX roster for all 30, only 13 of them made it to the CSX roster.

Only four U25Bs made it to the CSX roster. All four were in the Family Lines paint scheme, and none lasted too long into the CSX era.

The Seaboard System roster contributed 14 U30Bs, some ex SCL, some ex L&N. Chessie (C&O) contributed all the rest.
GE U33B Locomotives /

All of CSX's U33Bs came from the Seabord System. All were ex SCL, however they were found in SCL paint, Family Lines paint, and Seaboard System paint, with three getting repainted in CSX schemes.

All former Seaboard Coast Line units, but all wore the Seaboard System paint scheme before many were repainted into various CSX schemes.
