You have found the CSX Photo Archives. On this site you will find over 10,000 photographs of CSX locomotives, covering every model operated by the railroad, and in every paint scheme worn by the locomotives. You can view these photos and access other information by using the menus at the top of the pages. Photos are grouped by the locomotive models and also by the paint schemes that they wore.

My Goal
I want to provide railfans and modelers with as many quality photographs of CSX locomotives as possible. I also want photos of each unit in as many different paint schemes as possible. What counts as a CSX locomotive? Basically, for my purpose here, I'd like to post a photo of every CSX locomotive wearing a CSX number from 1987 to the present. Everything from a handful of GP7s and GP9s that were renumbered into the CSX roster, right thru today's high powered AC units.

My plan
This site was established back in 1999 by using photos from my personal collection. While that provided a good starting point, to make this site grow and become more complete, I'd like to ask for your help to fill in the missing units and paint schemes. Photos can be e-mailed here and posted to this site with credit given to the contributor on the update page. Your feedback and photo contributions can only help make this site better, so please let me hear from you!

My Priorities
I've loved trains all my life and collected photos since I took my first Chessie System photo in 1980, but CSX and trains still take a back seat behind my family and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
